Biography
Dr. Kayvan Taghipour-Khiabani holds a masters in experimental science from McGill University in Montreal. He is an assistant professor of surgery and head of the hand and microsurgery section at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, specializing in hand surgery and microsurgery. Dr. Khiabani's expertise is unique in the field of plastic reconstructive, hand and microsurgery as he brings broad surgical expertise and international clinical experience to Southern Nevada. He is the only hand and upper extremity surgeon in Nevada with orthopaedic and plastic surgery fellowships in hand and microsurgery. Dr. Khiabani is board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery in the U.S. and Canada. He has an extensive research background in reconstructive and microsurgery. He is a member of prestigious surgical societies including the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Plastic Surgery Research Council, American Medical Association, Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, and Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has led many national and international presentations and award-winning lectures in plastic surgery.
