Breast hematoma due to an operation will normally resolve with time but should be followed up with more detailed evaluation if it does not. Breast abscess can occur as post-surgical complication, for example after cancer treatment or reduction mammaplasty. Furthermore, if a breast has already undergone irradiation (as in radiation therapy for treating breast cancer), there is a heightened risk of complications (e.g. reactive inflammation, occurrrence of a chronic draining wound, etc.) for breast biopsies or other interventions to the breast, even those often considered "minor" surgeries. In 2009, the physicians at the University of Illinois has performed the first robotic kidney transplantation on an obese recipient.
Autografts are the transplant of tissue to the same person. Sometimes this is done with surplus tissue, tissue that can regenerate, or tissues more desperately needed elsewhere. An allograft is a transplant of an organ or tissue between two genetically non-identical members of the same species. A subset of allografts in which organs or tissues are transplanted from a donor to a genetically identical recipient (such as an identical twin). is known as ABO-incompatible (ABOi) transplantation. Until recently, people labeled as obese were not considered appropriate candidates for renal transplantation. As of January 2014, over 100 people that would otherwise be turned down because of their weight have successfully been transplanted. Amputation is the removal of a limb by trauma, medical illness, or surgery.
Track 12: Acute Care Surgery
Acute care surgery is a branch of secondary health care where a patient receives active treatment for a severe injury or episodes of illness, it is an urgent medically serious condition, or during recovery from surgery. Acute care surgery need support of multi speciality surgeons to treat and operate on the injured. The target audiences are mostly Surgeons, Medical Professors, Medical Students, Nurses, Surgical tool technicians and Healthcare Industrials.
Surgical critical care is a specialty of surgery and a primary component of general surgery related to the care of patients with acute, life-threatening or potentially life-threatening surgical conditions. There are two main categories of burn surgery: acute and reconstructive. Acute burn care occurs immediately after the injury. Reconstructive burn surgery may be required after the initial burn wounds have healed. Trauma surgery is a surgical specialty that utilizes both operative and non-operative management to treat traumatic injuries, typically in an acute setting and normally focuses on the abdominal area along with any given 'Emergency' field they may be required to serve upon. Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is the sudden failure of the respiratory (breathing) system.
Track 13: Perioperative Care and Anaesthesiology
Perioperative and Anaesthesiology is the practice of medicine dedicated to the relief of pain and total care of the patient. The target audience are professors, surgeons, medical students, nurses, surgical technicians, bio medical engineers and Healthcare Industries.Surgery is one of the most commonly used treatments to attempt cure of early-stage and late-stage treatments. The target audiences are mostly Surgeons, Medical Professors, Medical Students, Nurses, Surgical tool technicians and Healthcare Industrials.
Surgical treatments to modify airway anatomy, known as sleep surgery, are varied and must be tailored to the specific airway obstruction needs of a patient. A stent is a small stainless steel tube that is permanently placed inside an artery to keep it open.Intrathecal analgesia (IA) is a type of pain control. It is also called spinal anesthesia. Neurosurgical anesthesia or neuroanesthesia focuses on patients undergoing brain or spinal cord surgery. Cardiothoracic anesthesiology is a subspeciality of the medical practice of anesthesiology devoted to the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care of adult patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery and related invasive procedures.
Track 14: Advancements in Surgery
Advancements in Surgery is medical specialty which is latest in technology. The Robotic surgery is to perform surgery using robotic arm. Laser Technology for some surgeries which has to be attended on emergency with the trained specialist and assistants for a successful surgery with guided scopies for accuracy. The global minimally invasive surgery market will grow at a CAGR of 10.5% between 2013 and 2019. TMR a market intelligence firm based in the United States, in its report states that the global minimally invasive surgery market, which was valued at US$25.03 billion in 2012, will reach a worth of US$50.60 billion by 2019.The target audiences are mostly Surgeons, Medical Professors, Medical Students, Nurses, Surgical tool technicians and Healthcare Industrials.
Robotic surgery is a method to perform surgery using very small tools attached to a robotic arm. Laser surgery is surgery using a laser (instead of a scalpel) to cut tissue. The surgeon controls the robotic arm with a computer. Microsurgery is a general term for surgery requiring an operating microscope. In minimally invasive surgery, surgeons use a variety of techniques to operate with less injury to the body than with open surgery. Laparoscopy — surgery done through one or more small incisions, using small tubes and tiny video cameras and surgical instruments — was one of the first types of minimally invasive surgery. Another type of minimally invasive surgery is robotic surgery. It provides a magnified, 3-D view of the surgical site, which gives the surgeon great precision, flexibility and control. Thyroidectomy is the most common endocrine surgical procedure being carried out throughout the world. Besides, many patients who have deranged thyroid physiology, namely hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, have to undergo various elective and emergency surgical procedures at some stage of their life. The attending anesthesiologist has to face numerous daunting tasks while administering anesthesia to such patients. The challenging scenarios can be encountered at any stage, be it preoperative, intra-op or postoperative period. Angioplasty is a procedure in which a narrowed section of the coronary artery is widened. Angioplasty is less invasive and has a shorter recovery time than bypass surgery. Surgical technologists are members of operating room teams, which most commonly include surgeons.
Surgery or may be called a surgical procedure is medical specialty that uses operative manual and instrumental techniques on a patient to investigate and/or treat a pathological condition to help improve bodily function and repair unwanted ruptured areas. Surgery is a technology consisting of a physical intervention on tissues, and muscle. Several Surgery Conferences are organised in many countries, which include conferences based on the body parts, Emergency etc. Though cosmetic surgery or aesthetic surgery is the most well-known kind of plastic surgery , plastic surgery itself is not necessarily considered cosmetic; and includes many types of reconstructive surgery, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and the treatment of burns. Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery is surgery on the heart or great vessels performed by cardiac surgeons. Frequently, it is done to treat complications of ischemic heart disease (for example, coronary artery bypass grafting), correct congenital heart disease, or treat valvular heart disease from various causes including endocarditis, rheumatic heart disease and atherosclerosis. Pediatric Surgery conferences helps to compel the risks and advantagesinvolved in the surgery of fetuses, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Bariatric surgery conferences discuss problems related to the stomach and/or intestines that help patients with extreme obesity to lose weight.General surgery conferences helps to gain familiarity with a broad spectrum of diseases that may require surgical treatment. Associations organise Breast Surgery Conferences which attract healthcare professionals, general surgeons who treat patients with breast disease, discussing the possibilities to continually improve the practice of breast surgery by serving as an advocate for surgeons who seek excellence in the care of breast patients.Trauma Surgeries are most common which is required to treat traumatic injuries, typically in an acute setting and normally focuses on the abdominal area along with any given 'Emergency' field they may be required to serve upon. Conferences on Cardiac surgery are carried out to get an insight on the effects and positives that arise while performing surgeries to correct problems with the heart. Medical-Surgical conferences attract Nurses who provide direct care to adult patients in a variety of settings and are the largest group of nurses, accounting for almost 1/6 of the nursing profession.
