BCC refers to a group of biologically indolent cutaneous epithelial tumors composed of hyperchromatic basaloid cells in a variety of morphologic patterns set within a distinctive fibromucinous stroma Other than in the context of nevus sebaceous, nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome, Base syndrome, or Rambo syndrome190,191, isolated basal cell carcinomas can be seen in young adults.
